In 1982, Mrs. Cleotha C. Griffith introduced her innovative Christian-based educational programs for preschool and childcare to DeKalb County, Georgia by opening Love Thy Children Christian Learning Center in Decatur. This center was a pioneer in the introduction of computers to young children in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

In October 1994, Mrs. Griffith founded Love And Grace Christian Academy, a nonprofit organization that currently provides a loving and nurturing early childcare learning environment for infants and toddlers and instructional programs for preschool through second grade. The Academy programs are implemented by degreed staff and professional team members certified in early childhood development. Our staff provides flexibility to accommodate children with various learning styles. The educational program, based on the A Beka Curriculum, is phonics-driven and Christian-based. It provides the children with the skills needed for reading and comprehension in the early years.

Mrs. Griffith, founder and owner of Love And Grace and Love Thy Children, is an advocate for families and children. She is an ordained minister and a community and civic volunteer. She is a founding member of a Dekalb County community bank, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Child Care Association. Love And Grace is a member of the Georgia Christian School Association, American Christian School Association, and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
